Structures
Common structures we arrange
Availability depends on the lender, the asset and your circumstances. We'll explain which options realistically apply to you.
Chattel mortgage
You own the asset from the start; the lender holds security over it. Common for ABN holders.
Finance lease
The lender owns the asset and leases it to your business over an agreed term.
Rental / operating lease
Use the asset for a set period with defined end-of-term options.
Low-doc options
Some lenders offer streamlined assessment for established ABN and GST-registered businesses.
Worth knowing
Things to consider
- Tax, GST and depreciation treatment varies by structure — always confirm with your accountant.
- Asset age and type affect lender appetite, term and pricing.
- A balloon or residual reduces repayments but leaves an amount owing at the end of the term.
- Equipment finance is generally for business use; personal-use assets are assessed differently.
